SOUTHPORT

At Little Hands Southport we strive to provide children, families and the community with an environment that is warm, welcoming, supportive and safe. An environment where children can be themselves and develop to their full potential, encouraging a culture of lifelong learning. Enjoy our newly renovated centre and new animal farm!

  • We strive in establishing secure, respectful, nurturing and caring reciprocal relationships with each child to develop ongoing curriculum and learning experiences evident to each Childs individual needs and interests

  • We are committed to provide learning through play as an essential element of the learning experience through which children view, interpret and organise their environment

  • We strive to support children in the ways they connect with the natural environment to promote awareness of environmental and sustainable practices

  • We will encourage children to develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, persistence, imagination and independence, these dispositions attribute to every child's long term goals of Belonging, Being and Becoming

  • We will acknowledge and value diversity, equity and inclusion. Respecting and including many differing cultures of each child and their families into our centre, including a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and being.

  • We acknowledge and respect that Parents are the first and primary educators of children and believe they are our partners in a learning community that promotes well being, education and development of all children.

  • We as Educators are committed to the safety and well being of all children in our care, our educators will treat all children with dignity and respect, taking care to value all children’s rights under the guidelines provided in the UNITED Nations Convention on the rights of children.

At Little Hands Early Learning Centre we aim to equip children with a set of life skills for their ongoing learning thus enabling them to continue on their learning journey where they can experience fulfilling and rewarding participation within their community.

We value and respect our educators for their individual strengths and abilities that they bring to the child's world. We also support and commit to the educators ongoing professional development, and opportunities to liaise with other early childhood professionals.

Allowing educators to continue to create the best environment for children to develop and grow.
