Little Hands Early Learning Centre opened its first Centre in Southport in February 2011 and after much success and family encouragement, then established Little Hands Morayfield in September 2014. At Little Hands Early Learning Centres we are passionate about operating centres where children and families feel at home, where children learn through play, where they can explore and use their curiosity and wonder imagination in self created learning environments.
At Little Hands we are passionate about the learning journey the children and educators go on every day while they spend time in our environment. Our curriculum is grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework and inspired by Reggio Emilia & REI approach.
At Little Hands ELC, we appreciate and value the everyday learning journey of each child, every educator and families alike. Our curriculum is grounded by the Early Years Learning Framework and is inspired by Reggio Emilia & RIE approach.
“At our service, the children are at the centre of all that we do...they drive the learning journey, they devise the setup of the environment, they set the tone of our engagement... The children are treated with respect and as capable ...and we (as Educators) strive to live up to THEIR expectations. We foster a love of learning, and a learning environment where children learn through play.”
Our children are nurtured by an experienced and qualified team, who focus on extending learning through play-based experiences - allowing the children to take the lead in the planning, development of their curriculum and delivery of the service program.
Each educator has been has undergone a working with children checks, holds CPR and First Aid certificates as a basis. All educators are prepared to committed to developing their ongoing knowledge about learning and development in Early Childhood Education & Care. They are provided with ongoing mentoring and professional development to ensure continued growth as a professional practitioner.
OUR UNIQUE APPROACH
"We believe Little Hands Early Learning centre is a beautiful place where children not only feel wonderful and important but where the environment shows children that they can be anything or anyone they want to with a little imagination and caring support. We view children as strong and capable individuals. We understand the importance of following the child's needs and finding a rhythm and flow throughout the day. We view the environment as the third teacher."
